Kaguya
Kaguya
song by n-buna ft. Hatsune Miku
Outside my cold window, I saw that spring had finally come to the moon It felt as if I had just awakened from a dream Where will I go when I grow up? Maybe to the dark side of the moon, or some place you can’t even find in a book I guess I’ll just end up falling from the sky instead If I could stay like this, just like this, then what would happen to me? Once I’ve grown tired of walking on the moon, how will my face look today? What should I not do? Who’s to blame? Since I’m all the way up here on the moon, I can just act like I can’t hear any of it Next came morning, and then came night If only I could still see the same scenery even after a hundred years That’s about how long I’ve been walking on the moon If I could spend my days like this, just like this How would I live my life then? Up here on the moon, my voice won’t come out So what will it be like next time when I cry? If I could stay like this, just like this, Then I’d go wherever I want Once I’ve grown tired of walking on the moon, I’ll go looking for you far, far away Just like this, just like this Just like this, just like this, just like this I’ve stayed on the other side of the moon, just like this What am I going to tell you? Once my dreams of being on the moon come to an end, How will my face look when I see you again?
SONG INFO Album: Tsuki wo Aruiteiru (2016) Track 14
Based on "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter" n-buna: "This song is the only one with the image of another world. It's a story about walking all alone in the world of the moon. The lyrics at the end, 'Once my dreams of being on the moon come to an end' has the feeling of being in a dream. And then there's a lyric that feels like being a child in spirit: 'Where will I go when I grow up?' It feels rather close to an escape from reality. It's a story about trying not to see the ugliness of the world, and only aiming for ideals. That's where I got the title of the album from."
